Day 7 - The L.A. Zoo

I went to the L.A. Zoo to sketch today, and these animals were all good models. In fact, Rosie the orangutan noticed us sketching her, so she came right up to the glass and posed for us!

Day 6 - Dear Catastrophe Waitress

I've always thought the Belle & Sebastian song "Dear Catastrophe Waitress" had a funny title. Whenever I hear it I imagine some variation on the scenario above.

Day 3 - Map Pencils

I haven't used colored pencils (or as we referred to them in elementary school, "map pencils") in a long time, and they looked like they would be fun to work with again.

Day 1!

This is hopefully the first in 365 days of sketchblogging! I was inspired to do this by my friend Lamont and his awesome Project 365. My goal is to post a drawing a day, whether it be a more finished piece or just a simple doodle like this, in the hope that it'll keep me in the habit of drawing every day. Wish me luck!
